Wisteria floribunda Pink Ice - Grafted Plant in 9 cm Pot
Wisteria floribunda Pink Ice - Grafted Plant in 9 cm Pot
Wisteria are native to China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, southern Canada and the Eastern united States. They are perhaps one of the most memorable of all our climbing plants. In full flower they literally "cascade" with large racemes of often fragrant pea like flowers. Wisteria floribunda Pink Ice is an elegant pink Japanese wisteria that has been granted the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Pink Ice produces superb racemes, up to 60cm long, of fragrant, pea-like, pink flowers in May and June. The attractive light green leaflets, turn yellow in autumn before falling. Prefers a full sun location in fertile free draining soils but is tolerant of most free draining soils. Can be grown in the garden in a sunny location. It can easily be grown in a pot. Wherever you plant it, it will need something to grow up! When growing in a pot or other container use a good quality compost. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year.
Please note: All our Wisteria are grafted plants. Cheaper seed or cutting raise plants will take approx. 15 years to flower. Grafted plants will flower in around 2 years.
