Rosa banksiae are native to central and western China. This lovely rambling, virtually thornless, semi evergreen, hardy, disease resistant rose is one of the earliest flowering of all the roses. This spectacular plant puts on its most impressive display from April to June when the branches are literally wreathed in masses of beautiful double pink, fragrant flowers. Rosa banksiae Rosea is excellent for rambling over objects, on pergolas and even running through trees or other plants. Easy to grow in fertile, moist but well drained soil and a full sun location. Can be grown in a pot or container. Use a good quality compos. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring.
