Rosa banksiae Alba Plena - Lady Banksian Rose - Plant in 5 L Pot

Rosa banksiae are native to central and western China. This lovely rambling, virtually thornless, disease resistant rose is one of the earliest flowering of all the roses. This spectacular plant puts on its most impressive display from April to June when the branches are literally wreathed in masses of beautiful double, white, fragrant flowers. The fragrance is usually likened to that of Violets. Rosa banksiae Alba Plena is excellent for rambling over objects, on pergolas and even running through trees or other plants. Easy to grow in fertile, moist but well drained soil and a full sun location. Can be grown in a pot or container. Use a good quality compost. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year. Rosa banksiae Alba Plena flowers on second and third year wood so only prune out old stems or to control growth where necessary.
