Washed, lime free and ready to use immediately. Please note: While the name Silver Sand intuitively indicates that this sand should be silver in colour, this is not always the case. The name Silver Sand primarily indicates a small grain sand with even particle size and low salts, suitable for use as a horticultural substrate. Today sand that is silver in colour is rare. This Melcourt Silver Sand is a buff colour, darker when wet, lighter when dry. It is an excellent quality product, suitable for horticultural use.
