Jasminum × stephanense Starry Summer Scent - Jasmine - Plant in 2 L Pot

Jasminum × stephanense are perhaps one of the most beautiful of the Jasmines. It is native to Western China, particularly Yunnan province, where it was discovered by Delavay in 1887 and has an interesting history. Believed to be the only hybrid Jasminum, it is a natural cross between Jasminum officinale and Jasminum beesianum and occurs in the wild in China when both parents are present. Jasminum × stephanense Starry Summer Scent is a recently introduced cultivar. Starry Summer Scent is a superb Jasmine, with abundant, large pink flowers with creamy white margins and a super strong fragrance. Flowers are produced over a longer period than the species plant, from June to August. A versatile, deciduous climber it will make rapid growth in a sheltered, sunny, free draining location, and is drought tolerant. Starry Summer Scent is excellent for covering any structure it is given to climb over, be that a trellis, wired wall, or an unsightly structure. A lovely climber for a sunny location! Can be harshly pruned after flowering if required. In colder parts of the Uk it should be given some winter protection in severe winters. Can easily be grown in a pot or container. Provide a framework of some description for the plant to twine around or grow over. When growing in a pot or other container. Use a good quality compost.
