Ceanothus impressus Victoria - California Lilac - Plant in 9 cm Pot

Ceanothus are native to much of the Americas and are particularly abundant in the wild in California. They are a well known and widely planted shrub with many varieties. Ceanothus impressus Victoria is probably the hardiest of the Ceanothus in production. A superb evergreen recent variety, it forms a dense, upright, medium size shrub with ovate green leaves and deep indigo blue flowers in incredible profusion over a long period from spring until mid summer. Prefers full sun but will tolerate semi shade. It is not very tolerant of chalky or wet soil but thrives in coastal locations. This plant can be used in a mixed planting or as a stand alone specimen in the garden or a container. If planting in a pot or other container. Use a good quality compost.
