Ceanothus impressus Victoria - California Lilac - Plant in 2L Pot

Ceanothus are native to much of the Americas and are particularly abundant in the wild in California. They are a well known and widely planted shrub with many varieties. Ceanothus impressus Victoria is probably the hardiest of the Ceanothus in production. A superb evergreen recent variety, it forms a dense, upright, medium size shrub with ovate green leaves and deep indigo blue flowers in incredible profusion over a long period from spring until mid summer. Easy to grow in full sun in a sheltered location in most fertile free draining soils. Ceanothus are not very tolerant of chalky or wet soil but thrive in coastal locations.
